Contact Sol Mussa (b.1996) is an interdisciplinary artist with a main focus on visual anthropology working across a variety of mediums such as painting, sculpture and filmmaking. Her practice explores marginalization within the urban space through an approximate approach, opening up a discussion about trash, hierarchies and race. The totality of the work appears to display in a public space elements that must be hidden in a private one, bringing out what is felt to be ‘the dirty’ to the clean white cube, allowing the invisible to be visible; the unvalued to be valued.
